Our Strategic R&D Team
Tilda N. Mmegwa BSc, FCA, CMA, Macc
Coordinating the Strategic R&D team, Tilda brings on board her extensive expertise in research and development. One of her recent research work was the development of a corporate governance framework, "Governance Evaluation in Not-for-Profit Organizations”, based on Canadian principles and guidelines. She delivered a presentation on this framework at a major 2008 research conference at Brock University, Canada.
Tilda is an author of various articles. An article on the governance framework is currently under review for publication. She was recently published in Commonwealth Innovations, a publication of Commonwealth Association for Public Administration and Management (CAPAM). She is heavily involved with researching and developing best practices for both the public and private sectors.
Sophie Liu MSc, MBA, CMA
For over 19 years, Sophie has progressively provided her expertise in research, strategic planning, product management, lending and financing, financial management, and fiscal policy development to organizations in both the private and public sectors. She is a winner of various awards including the Ministry of Transportation of Ontario 2003 Prism Award (Innovation in Leadership Category) and the RBC Royal Performance Winner Q2 2008 (for team work and profitability). Sophie was also a Chinese Scholarship winner 1999, which is the highest scholarship in China to individuals who achieve excellent academic results with extensive work experience.
Sophie was a visiting scholar in finance, McGill University, Canada where she conducted joint research with other professors in the faculty of Management. The research paper, "Comparative Performance of Chinese Banks: Analysis, Findings and Policy Implications", was published in the Review of Quantitative Finance and Accounting 16, 149-170, 2001, and presented at the 8th Pacific Basin Finance, Economics and Accounting Conference in June 2000, in Bangkok, Thailand. Sophie has over 20 publications including chapters in two books, named “Finance Dictionary” and “The Economic Chronicle of the People’s Republic of China (1949-1984). Four of her publications won five business awards.
Clementine Osah BSc., ACA, CMA
Clementine is a Senior Business Performance Analyst with Suncor Energy. Prior to joining Suncor she worked for other multinational organizations in the Oil, Financial and manufacturing sectors including Baker Hughes, CIBC, RBC and Citibank. Clementine is also a facilitator at the Alberta chapter of the Bridging program of Certified Management Accountants of Canada.
As a Senior Business Performance Analyst, Clementine brings on board her excellent research and analytical skills that ensure that an institutions designed strategy is based on well-synthesized information, proper benchmarking and extensive analysis.
Hui Zhou BSc., MSc., PhD
Hui’s expertise is in operations and technology. He has been the team leader and project manager for high-level projects in both Canada and China. Hui is a U.S. patent holder and has more than 20 U.S. and international patents pending. Hui’s other works include four published journal papers and one conference paper. Hui has conducted a number of research in association with professors with Canadian universities, including the university of Waterloo and Ryerson University.
